History

A framework for collaboration between the Transitional Assembly of Rwanda and the Association of European Parliamentarians for Africa (AWEPA) was first signed in 1998. This framework was renewed in 2003 and signed by the elected Parliament of Rwanda and AWEPA for the period up to December 2006.

On 12 November 2007, the agreement was renewed for the second time, which ensures the cooperation between AWEPA and the Rwandan Parliament for another 5 years. The latest Memorandum of Understanding will last until December 2011. Read more...
