International Women's Day, 8 March, is an occasion marked by women's groups around the world. AWEPA fully supports the highlighting of international women's rights on this day.
The Regional Parliamentary Meeting for the Great Lakes Region that took place 26-28 February in Kinshasa, was a great success. About 150 representatives participated in the event.
On the 19th of February the Austrian Parliament and the North-South Institute for Development Cooperation organised the seminar "Parliamentarian North-South Dialogue: parliament within the focal point of development policy".
