During AWEPA’s 25th anniversary conference in Cape Town
in October the first ever AWEPA Partnership Council meeting
was held. One of the agenda items was a discussion regarding
AWEPA in the next 25 years.
On the occasion of the 15th Conference of Parties (COP-15), AWEPA, the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), Globe International and the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank presented a joint parliamentary statement to negotiators in Copenhagen.
The first High-level Symposium to prepare for the 2010 DCF was organized by UN/DESA jointly with the Government of Austria in Vienna on 12-13 November 2009.
