Resolution on Zimbabwe by ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly Print
Hon. Maria Martens, AWEPA member and MEP, highlighted in her newsletter that the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly had unanimously adopted a resolution on the political situation in Zimbabwe.

The resolution condemns the violence in Zimbabwe and holds Mugabe responsible for failure to set up a government of national unity. The resolution also criticises lack of government intervention to limit the cholera epidemic. Hon. Martens notes that whilst in the past African colleagues would stand by Mugabe, this is changing. According to Hon. Martens, Africa has to keep on searching for African solutions, also for Mugabe.
