Head of Section - Hon. Antigoni Papadopoulu The Cypriot Section of AWEPA is comprised of 11 members and is led by Ms. Antigoni Papadopoulu. She is a Cypriot politician and one of the first two Cypriot women to be elected Member of the European Parliament in 2009. She is an outspoken supporter of women's rights, having been a member of the women's branch of the Democratic Party and currently being a Member of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and Member of the Parliament's Delegation to the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee.
