17th Meeting of the Network of Women Parliamentarians of Central Africa (RFPAC) in Chad

N’Djamena, Chad – The 17th Meeting of the Network of Women Parliamentarians of Central Africa (RFPAC) was held between 6 and 8 May 2014 in the capital city of Chad. The central topic of the conference was the role of parliamentarians in fighting violence against women and the protection of vulnerable women. The meeting was attended by women parliamentarians of Central Africa and Ms. Magda De Meyer, Political Coordinator of AWEPA’s programme with RFPAC.

The RFPAC was established in 2002, with AWEPA’s support, and consists of women parliamentarians from ten countries of Central Africa: Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Rwanda and Chad.
