AWEPA Newsletter

Brussels, Belgium – On 28 June, Hon. Johan Verstreken, Head of the Flemish AWEPA Section, actively participated in a meeting of the parliamentary group on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

During the meeting, participants paid particular attention to the sexual and reproductive health and rights of young people in Africa, especially in Flemish partner country Benin.

Hon. Verstreken was able to engage with two guests who are active in this field in Benin, Mr. Kader Avonnon, Regional Chair of the Youth Action Movement of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), and Ms. Brigitte Dagba Kangni, Project Leader for Youth and Gender at the Association Béninoise pour la Promotion de la Famille (ABPF).
